Friday, November 6, 2015, Caitrin Lynch will be a panelist at the Ann Richards Invitational Roundtable at Brandeis University, in Waltham, Massachusetts. Topic: Older Workers.

Thursday, November 16, 2015, Caitrin Lynch will join journalist Joseph Coleman (author of Unfinished Work: the struggle to build an aging American workforce) for an event called “Global Visions of Work in Late Life” at the American Anthropological Association annual meetings in Denver, Colorado.

Retirement on the Line in Australia, November 2014.

Caitrin Lynch spoke about older workers as a keynote speaker at the Australian Association of Gerontology annual meeting in Adelaide.

 

Retirement on the Line in Germany, 11-13 November, 2013.

Caitrin Lynch was be accompanied by Ashley Hartman (representing the family firm) and Howard Ring (production worker, an "older worker" himself), to discuss Vita Needle at the international symposium called "Older employees in the World of Work," at the the Körber Foundation in Hamburg. Vita Needle was invited as one of several "good practice" examples of businesses that employ older workers.

Manufacturing with a Heart: Two Local Examples: Hear about two local businesses that provide work for nontraditional employees. Vita Needle employs older adults (average age 73) for its Needham-based stainless steel needle factory. Project Repat works with manufacturers who hire adults with disabilities to make t-shirt blankets.  See http://www.projectrepat.com/ and http://www.vitaneedle.com/.
